The London borough of Tower Hamlets encompasses much of the traditional East End. In 1965, the old metropolitan boroughs of Stepney, Poplar, and Bethnal Green merged to establish the London Borough of Stepney, Poplar, and Bethnal Green. The historic Tower Division; the territory of south-east Middlesex, focusing on (but not limited to) the area of the current borough, which owed military service to the Tower of London was initially known as 'Tower Hamlets.'
The borough, which includes much of the regenerated Docklands area, is located on the north bank of the River Thames, immediately east of the City of London. In the south of the borough, The Isle of Dogs is home to some of London's highest structures. Tower Hamlets is home to a section of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
In Tower Hamlets, there are more than a hundred parks and open spaces, ranging from the huge Victoria Park to several little gardens and squares. Mile End Park, the second-largest, is separated from Victoria Park by a canal and includes The Green Bridge, which spans the bustling Mile End Road. The picturesque Grove Hall Park off Fairfield Road in Bow, which was previously the site of a mental asylum, is one of the smallest at 1.19 acres. Altab Ali Park, Mudchute Park, and Grove Hall Park are among the other parks in the area.
London minibus service is available all year and is quite popular with our customers. Even though usual minibus bookings are quick, we always encourage consumers to inquire as soon as possible.
