Bexley is a borough of the London Borough of Bexley in south-east Greater London, England. To distinguish the neighborhood from the rest of the borough, it is sometimes referred to as Bexley Village or Old Bexley. It's 13 miles (21 kilometers) east of Charing Cross and south of Bexleyheath.

John Shaw (1776–1832), a well-known architect in Kent and Middlesex and one of the earliest designers of semi-detached dwellings in the capital, worked on Lamorbey Park and was a famous architect in Kent and Middlesex. His son, John Shaw Jr., resided in neighboring Crayford for a short time and possessed a demolished villa in the early twentieth century; he is buried at St. Mary's Church.
